Wholemeal with Sunflower Seed Loaf

Morphy Richards Stainless Steel Breadmaker 48627Ingredients:

  • 1½ tsp yeast
  • 350g wholemeal flour
  • 150g strong white flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 25g butter
  • 360ml water
  • 5 tbsp sunflower seeds

Kenwood BM250 Bread MakerMethod

  1. Place all ingredients into the pan except the seeds by following your manufacturers’ instructions regarding the order of liquid/dry ingredients.
  2. Place seeds in nut/raisin dispenser (if available) and set your machine to the wholemeal/bake raisin setting, medium crust.
  3. 3. If you do not have a nut/raisin dispenser when the machine indicates (with a beeping sound), add the seeds and close the lid.

White Loaf with Mixed Herbs

Kenwood Breadmaker BM256Ingredients:

  • 500 g Carrs Breadmaker strong white flour
  • 320 mls water
  • 25 g butter
  • 1 tbsp raw cane sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp fast action dried yeast
  • 2 tsps Italian mixed herbs

Method:

  • Follow the manufacturers’ instructions regarding the order of liquid / dry ingredients and set your machine to the basic / normal setting, medium crust. Also makes great individual rolls.

    Does it make a different what type of yeast I’m using in the recipe?

    hello recipe cooker, you would know better with your wonderful website on various recipes. Depending on the type of breadmaker you have and also what the recipe requires (fast acting vs. slow rising yeast etc.), it would do best to use the exact yeast that is mentioned in the recipe.
